Moldenhauer points to the fact that corporations have a record $1.6 trillion in cash -- the highest level in 46 years. "Even before the year ends, they've already borrowed $143.6 billion, and they've done it at a faster rate than in any of the past 10 years. They'll spend it soon but when will it start to happen is anyone's guess. It is probable it will be within the next two quarters."
He says the time to prepare for the job boom is now and offers four change-making ideas to help job seekers get ready.
- Toss out all the old ideas or plans, all of what you did to get "stuck" in your job search. Throw out that old plan you explored. Think new slate. Think about original ideas.
- Update you. Your profile, bio, resume have quickly become "old hat" in a matter of a few months. Take them up a level, using a crisper take with better content in your words.
- Challenge yourself. Create new ways to identify job opportunities. Use multiple ways to find a job, not just one way for greater results. Use job tools to organize your search so you can be efficient and save more time for networking.
- Be accountable. Consider working with a mentor or coach. They will push you to do better each week, each day and each hour. Job seekers will then find they are getting real contacts, calls, interviews and job offers.
